Who are we?

Thehistorysite.co.uk is maintained and run by Mr B Collinge of Chilton Trinity Technology college in Somerset.

The information on the site is being constantly updated and passed to Mr Collinge by a dedicated team of student authors, making our site almost unique.

Since being online the site has undergone many changes:

Version 1: A free geocities web page where students work could be examined by members of the community and the wider world. It was a building block for what was to come.

Version 1.1: With the help of the students and the school's bursar the site was able to purchase web space and develop further. A new background was designed by two students and Mr Collinge made good use of this adding a lot of material.

Version 1.2: The site as you see it today. We were interested in applying for an NGfL (national grid for learning) but found that the sites structure was providing us with some problems, not least the colour scheme being bad for those with visual impairments.
